MCM

Ceramics

The importance of Manresa at the 14th century is reflected by the impressive gothic church of Santa Maria de la Seu. That century is also well represented at MCM, which holds a collection of finely decorated ceramics in green and manganese, from the early 14th century. This exhibition, of more than 60 pottery pieces, contains almost every piece of a complete tableware set (Plates, bowls, jars, oil and sauce sets...) with rich decoration of oriental and European style.

The Museum preserves an important collection of Catalan ceramic until the XXth century. Part of this collection is exposed in a visit through the different rooms illustrating all the historical periods in which the ceramic was used.
