Once again, the Museu de Manresa – Museu del Barroc de Catalunya joins the celebration of International Museum Day, organizing open days and activities for all audiences after the ICOM motto, which this year is ‘The future of museums in communities in constant change‘.

The exhibition shows the rebellious and innovative work of the artist Nazario Luque and highlights the continuity of the demands of the queer collective today, fifty years after its beginnings.

Transvestite Show of Flamenco Queer
Cloister of the Manresa Museum
Flamenco Queer offers an aesthetically unique show experience full of music, dance and passion. A tribute to the hidden history of flamenco in Barcelona and around the world on the occasion of the International Day against LGTBIphobia. With the support of the LGTBI+ Comprehensive Care Service of Manresa.

Museum of national interest that makes Manresa the reference place for Catalan Baroque art. Nearly 200 works of art accompanied by music and audiovisuals offer a journey through the culture, landscape and art of the 17th and 18th centuries.
From 10 am to 2 pm – Open doors at the Museu Petit
The Museu Petit is a display of the collection of the Museu de Manresa. It offers a tour of the most important stages of city’s history: from the archaeological collection to some of the artists of the 20th century. The city’s Old Giants, some of the oldest in Catalonia, are also on display.
From 10 am to 2 pm – Open doors at the Centre d’Interpretació Medieval del Carrer del Balç
Located in the outbuildings of an old noble manor house. An example of Catalan medieval urbanism. Narrow and winding, the street is covered by the porches that were built between the houses to take advantage of the limited space in the city. Prior reservation required at: www.manresaturisme.cat
