The Old College of Sant Ignasi, home of the Manresa Museum, has been thoroughly renovated to convert this century-old institution into a 21st century facility.
The first floor of the Manresa Museum houses the Catalan Baroque Museum, where some of the most relevant pieces from the Manresa Museum’s Baroque art collection are exhibited, along with outstanding Baroque pieces from 21 museums and collections in the country. A museum that promotes immersion in the Baroque era to understand and comprehend what this period meant in our country.
In future phases, local collections will be displayed on the second floor that will house the City Museum, as well as on the third, where the Espai Mestres Cabanes will be located. In the meantime, we invite you to enjoy a selection of outstanding pieces from our collection in the Museu Petit room. And to participate in the activities, educational service and exhibitions that the Museu de Manresa continues to carry out to value the heritage, art and artists of our territory.
